A genuine, Japanese woodblock print on medium weight cotton. Antique design on 1970s printed fabric
From a woodblock print (ukiyo-e) of a kabuki character/actor, by Utigawa Kunisada, which he did circa 1860, during the Edo perios.
Nishiki-e. Nishiki-e is a type of Japanese multicoloured woodblock printing, invented in the 1760s and used mainly in ukiyo-e.
Fabulous for framing or it could be quilted or made into a cushion
A very unusual find
Made in Japan
