Japanese traditional footwear does not come in western shoe sizes, they are always sized by actual measurement, so I can't really advise on fit. Measure your foot when flat on the floor and pressing down on it a little, then compare with footwear measurements given (see size guide below pictures – note that the Japanese sometimes wear zori with the heel hanging over the back of the sole a bit. The outer side of the foot tends to hang over the side of the sole a bit too)
