A pink date jime obi, with Velcro fastening. The Japanese call this a magic belt.
Normally worn under an outer obi, this date jime is also excellent as a casual kimono sash. It is a good depth, so holds the kimono in place beautifully. It also has the advantage of being adjustable and extremely easy to put on, as no tying is required. One end is backed with Velcro and can be fastened anywhere along the length of the plain section of the other end.
