  • A 1950s, vermillion omeshi silk kimono, with a glorious phoenix feather design.
  • Omeshi is a thick-ish silk with a tight crepe weave, which was very fashionable and popular in the late 40s and 50s. It was used prior to that too but was a thinner version
  • Made and bought in Japan
  • Type:A komon kimono. Komon have an all-over repeat pattern. This style is considered casual and may be worn around town or dressed up with a formal obi for a restaurant. Both married and unmarried women may wear this type of kimono. The most useful of all the kimono types 
  • Pure silk
  • Awase (fully lined)
