An antique, embroidered silk han eri, with cranes design. Cotton backed. A very collectable item.
The han-eri is just loosely attached over the neckband of the juban kimono, so it can easily be removed for washing or changing. The edge of the han-eri is visible when the outerwear kimono is worn on top of the juban kimono. It is a feature of the kimono ensemble. Kimono experts often change han-eri to get a new appearance.

Excellent – there is a fold line at the back of the neck that is discoloured – see photos. Other than that it is in lovely condition.
