This is an unused bolt of cotton fabric, for a yukata kimono. A bolt of kimono fabric is called a tan.
A hand printed cotton bolt, with a design of Japanese parasols, kikyo (Bellflower)", nadeshiko (fringed pinks) and botan (Peonies).
Woven and printed to make a yukata kimono, with the design positioned to be in the correct places on the finished kimono.
This is known as a tsukesage-gara yukata bolt, the pattern on the finished kimono is in the layout normally found on a tsukesage type of kimono
Made in Japan.

Measurements approximately:
Width 37.8cm
