Golden Hokusai's Fuji Noren
  • A cotton, Japanese, 2 strip noren, with Hokusai's Red Fuji print, but the red areas are gold on this noren. Noren are used as curtains at open doors in Japan, particularly shop doors, and one parts the strips of fabric to enter. They make wonderful wall hangings too. Perhaps a bit darker blue than the photos show.
  • Mount Fuji is a symbol of endurance and the forge of creativity. The tiger, being a symbol of protection, wards off evil spirits and bad luck.
  • Made and bought in Japan
  • Please be aware that different monitors display colour slightly differently. Therefore the colour in the photos and description is a guide only
