- A cotton, Japanese, 2 strip noren, with Hokusai's Red Fuji print, but the red areas are gold on this noren. Noren are used as curtains at open doors in Japan, particularly shop doors, and one parts the strips of fabric to enter. They make wonderful wall hangings too. Perhaps a bit darker blue than the photos show

Golden Hokusai's Fuji Noren
A Japanese noren is a type of split curtain, usually hung over doors and walked through but also makes a great wall hanging. They are traditioanlly used at the doors of tea houses and often on shop doorways too.
